Re: Strange request

Post by TonyM »

Hi all,
My friends Mother is a Minister and She likes to give a memorial plate and Goblet when She corirms someone to her church.
At the moment She gives them a silver(not real silver) 8in plate and a siver Goblet.
This is so they can keep the plate and goblet that they first recieve the body and blood of Christ.
She has asked me if there are any ceramic plates and goblets that i could personalise with the Church on them.
She feels Jesus would not have been able to afford silver and ceramic is far more fitting (Her words)
So my question is:
Is there such a thing as a sublimation goblet?
Is there a plate I could do without a plate press?
I would like to help her as She runs a very small Ministry and it is personal things like this that keep her Church going.
Any suggestions?
PS. She only wants 4 at the moment and it will probably continue to dribble like that.

Would wood not be more fitting to Jesus' wealth and background as a carpenter?

Candles...

TMT sell them and they would probably be a great gift for christenings, maybe even a small teddy bear. You know... name of the church, name of the person and the date etc. etc.

I'm guessing you don't print the candles in a heat press?

Could get quite messy lol!

I think you use a special paper that you print on then you make it wet and attach it to the candle, not 100% sure though.

Thats the stuff! Found a link: http://www.themagictouch.co.uk/acatalog ... Paper.html

Never used it but seen examples and it does look good, not sure how difficult it would be to work with though.

Water slide tranfers look a treat, I got some for my girls and I to have a play about, when I tested and old laser printer I picked up.
They did some church candles and I did some glasses and vases, and I have to say the results were pretty good. We got clear background but thye also do white as well, but if your putting it on plain wax candle clear does the job. Wish I had some photos to upload but they were given away as gifts.
