Re: Stitch-Up Website

Post by Stitch Up »

My Stitch-Up website Stitch Up: The Finest T Shirts is nearly finished. I've still got quite a few video to attach and some tidying up to do.

Take a look but please don't buy anything - well, not yet anyway :)

I'm aware of some of the glitches but not all, so please let me know what you find :)

Rob Endersby has done all the hard work and I must offer my gratitude to him for his efforts.

Cheers

Hi

So far I would say site looks good, only thing I would add is contact details to header as only link I can find is in the footer.

Thats a great clean looking theme you have there!. Very nice. Cant wait to see the finished product..... one minor thing that I did notice..... the resized image in your carousel is slightly too large, not all of the text is visible.

Looks good.

One thing - in your returns section state the customer has to pay the postage for returning the item. Otherwise you may end up paying for the goods to be returned.

First thing that grabs me John is a very clean and easy to follow site (well done on the look and theme, it's great).

I too had the issue as arko stated with missing text (using firefox to view it).

One thing I did notice though was the lack of watermarks on your designs and quite large files for 'those that do' to download and steal, I have a firefox addon that shows me the path of an image and this is what comes up with me:

http://stitch-up.com/media/catalog/prod ... rt-art.jpg

http://stitch-up.com/media/catalog/prod ... rtwork.jpg

I would say those images were good enough to put on a mug (quality wise) and not watermarked.

I know it's a sad state of affairs that we have to do this but people do steal, and prevention is better than cure :)

There's a couple of spelling mistakes that jumped out at me. [sorry, I'm known for spotting them!]
In the French Casino shirt descriptions, you've got 'openened' instead of 'opened', and 'Dillnger' instead of 'Dillinger'.
In 'It's Frothy Man' you've got 'remeber' instead of 'remember'.
Average White Band you've got 'beed' instead if 'been'.

If I spot any more I'll let you know.
Great site btw.

p.s
Some of the images are obliterating your prices.
There are 2 of the same video on pussy cat t shirt.
On 'Brother on the Run' there is an overprint on the details.

I sincerely hope you don't mind me pointing these out. I haven't had much to do today and I like to do something useful.

Absolutely not . Thanks for hi-lighting the issues. Spelling I can amend but format I'll leave to the site's designer - I've copied him in on yours and others suggestions/comments.

I have a lot of videos to make and the problems associated will be corrected.

Thanks for your comments guys, it really does help me.

Regards

John
