The advise seemed a bit rehersed so i put them to the test with info i knew for def that the answer would be no heres the transcript of the convo

a simple yes or no would suffice is it allowed under the new regulations or not
Barbara Dunne
As stated: eBay members are not allowed to use images - including photos and other pictures - or text they didn't create themselves. Exceptions to this policy would be if they are authorised to do so by the owner, its agent or the law.

Re: yet another ebay fiasco
How does one get a barcode for Amazon/(soon to be eBay - maybe)?
I'm sure lots of people on here have barcodes but I've never dabbled.

Re: yet another ebay fiasco
yeah... I'd rather NOT shell out £100+ per year on getting a barcode for 1000 numbers. 10p doesn't sound a lot per code, but when you have many thousand listings (not that I do) but I could see it getting VERY expensive VERY quickly, and for what?
I can see eBay shooting itself straight in the head here. What about people who wanna flog an a bike/bag/whatever else goes on eBay - which I'm guessing is a fairly large proportion of their single use sellers. Slap a £27 single use barcode on something and people will just forget it.

Re: yet another ebay fiasco
As far a i read i thought legit barcodes were £7 each http://www.gs1uk.org/about-us/Pages/get-a-barcode.aspx i beleive this is the one reccomended by amazon. Could be wrong though
