Re: The need to keep ink flowing!

As all will know, I have certainly had some issues with the old b1100 printer over the last year or so and have replacement printers, replacement ciss systems and new ink.
We all know and have been told the importance of keeping ink flowing but I just wanted to reiterate the importance of doing this.
My system runs the artainium ink from sawgrass and when I first started in this I knew just how expensive the ink was so I was a little dubious of running a test print as I didn't want to 'waste' ink - a major error!
By not keeping the ink flowing you will 'probably' cause some sort of blockage which 'could' result in numerous head cleans - and the ink used in these head cleans is so much more than doing an actual test print.
So, since December I make sure that I run a print through my system at least every 48hrs - this may be too much but it works for me and to date I have had NO PROBLEMS and my ink seems to be lasting longer as I have avoided numerous head-cleans!
I run this through my b1100 (a 4 colour print as the b1100 is a 4 ink system):

and I always get a clear print (print out may look faded as I'm printing with my profile onto plain paper):

So, a little investment in preparation and looking after your equipment will help in the long-run
