After losing my top rated seller because buyers do not read dispatch times stated in my listings (all my items are dispatched within the stated times) and also recieveing a couple of bad feedbacks for example "wallet bigger than i thought" again my listing state clearly all sizes i tried reasoning with ebay (yeah ok stop laughing now)heres how myebay experiance has gone since december
lost top rated seller due to adverse dsr scores inparticular dispatch times rang ebay to challange this
first im asked why it takes so long to dispatch (5 working days for a bespoke created item isnt long in my opinion )
told ebay agent these are made to order
ebay agent .. then you should state this
i do read my listings expected delivery dates are clearly stated
ebay agent ....put it in your listings
why ? people dont read descriptions anyway its clearly stated in the area that ebay asks you to state it

what? are you for real its in the description they only have to read it

thought id give their chat window ago i was in this chat window for 3 hours yes 3 hours and i was transfered to 10 people .....incredible and still i had no answer to my first question gave up and rang

Ebay agent ..... very sorry sir thats inexcusable (at last getting somewhere) we will look at the transcript and put this forward to our complaints team in mean time i''l put you in touch with ebays seller success team

ebay seller sucess agent..... hi we will ring you for a seller sucess session on thursday 10.00 to see what we can do to assist you in getting better service out of ebay and more sales

Not exactly what i had in mind but anything helps i suppose so look forward to thursday at 10.00 made sure wife available so we both can benifit from this .

Thursday 10.00 phones silent 11.00 still silent 11.30 ring ring wehey here we go ..... no i dont want your bloody pension plan go away .... still no ebay call

week goes by and no contact from ebay until tuesday

ok we all get ill when then
seller sucess agent.... ok friday 3.00pm definate
great look forward to it

its now 4.00pm no call so far

so i have to wonder if i had offered this service on ebay and i did all this and recieved neg feedback would ebay be understanding about this ? would they remove the feedback ? or would they threaten me with restricting my account due to poor customer service ? make your own mind up but i can guess what would happen

Awful customer service...make sure that SOMEONE in there knows about it. What's their policy on answering customer calls/call backs?!?! Is it within 48 hours?!? I certainly can't imagine it's 'whenever we feel like it'!?!? I hope you get it resolved quickly and to your satisfaction and not theirs!!

im afraid with ebay customer service simply dosent exist im under no illusions i know i,ll get nowhere with it but annoys the hell out of me

Ebay is a nightmare i also lost my top rated seller this month because of dispatched times, people on there are just mental here are a few examples of messages i get.

Customer ordered Sunday, message on Monday around 11am " have you posted it yet" Me "Not yet these are made to order so Wednesday latest" Customer "so when will it get here!, i want it this week!"

Another mad one! Customer ordered a personalised phone case, message " Your title says personalised phone case i didnt get to upload a photo, there is NO WAY im paying £.. for a plain white case" .... Description states to send to photos to me email address this is also in BOLD and red text.

another one Customer message " please refund me the postage as it didnt turn up in ebays estimated time" ..... EVILBAY

One that gets me the most it that my listings are all 5 working days dispatch plus the rm delivery times.... i also get people ordering then messaging me saying i need this in like 3 days!!

I got a customer complaint about an item they ordered on a Wednesday evening at 7.30pm. Emails me back on Thursday afternoon (the next day) asking why her item hadnt been delivered..... Sometimes people are just wanting the impossible.

Know that feeling had a customer just like like, I should have put my post in your thread, but I don't sell from ebay

When I worked on complaints at RBS I had a big desk diary where I would put the date & time I promised to phone a customer back. If I told them I would call them say at 9am on the Monday that is exactly what I would do. If I was sick & off work I would ask my manager to check my diary & make any calls for me which they always did. There really is no need at all for poor customer service.

I had something delivered to me yesterday which I bought off Ebay & it took nearly 3 weeks to be delivered. I'm not going to leave negative or neutral feedback like some would because it came all the way from Brazil. The item I bought was exactly what I had paid for & as far as I'm concerned everything was perfect.

I think half the problem is that e-bay, to an extent, appear to be self-regulating...and we all know how that can end in disaster. Any competition that starts up has an enormous uphill climb and would have to pay out so much in marketing that it makes it almost impossible for them to compete...which allows ebay to treat their own 'revenue makers' like pieces of dirt as YOU the shop owner gets the abuse from the customer!!! Because they side with the customer so much they're only the 'bad guy' to the show owner, NOT the customer!!!!!
