Your selling account has been restricted indefinitely Unfortunately, because your seller performance is below standard under the eBay.co.uk seller performance standards programme, your selling account has been restricted. If you had any active listings before your restriction, they have been removed and your selling fees will be credited. If you recently sold an item, you'll find it in the Sold section of My eBay.
You can still get your messages in My eBay, and of course, complete any outstanding transactions with your buyers, but you won't be able to list any more items. This action doesn't affect your buying account.
Please complete any outstanding transactions with this account.
GRRRRRRRRRR!!!
this is only coz i had DSR bit lower on dispatch time! 5 meople gave me less then 5 stars and now i am baned of selling on ebay! How ridicules is that!
but i have 100% feedback! this is only some idiots can not read description. when i sell profiles i always say profile will be delivered within 10days. most people want it for yesterday
before Christmas I sold a bucket load of items and to be honest I struggled to keep up.
As I only dabble in Ebay I have to use their online pages to mark items as dispatched. There was over 600 of these to mark off after Christmas and i could not be bothered. Every customer (bar three) had received their items so it was not a problem. However ebay removed my TOP RATED SELLER status because in their eyes I had not sent the items out in time. I contacted them and explained that everything had gone out and also asked how I got positive feedback from buyers if the item had not been dispatched. They did not care and said that the status could not be reinstated.
Typical ebay, but then what can you do? Either you put up with them or you leave. Either way is not ideal but those are really the only choices.
Us too ! we've lost top rated seller status due to dispatch times yet all our items are dispatched within the time stated we had a lot of messages from customers over xmas asking why we had changed our dispatch time since they had bought the item this is impossible to do i have pointed this out to ebay guess what ebay dont wanna know one guy said why does it take you so long to dispatch (i wouldnt call 5 working days long) i told them these are made to order his answer was others get theres out quicker i said perhaps they are not as popular as me .
I can believe the crap these agents tell you he said put it in your description that it takes 5 working days i told them its in the listing in the section that ebay asks you to put it and anyway the public dont read descriptions he disagreed so i pointed out a neutral feedback i have recieved which said wallet bigger than i thought , i told the agent the size is very clearly stated in the description now tell me the public read descriptions his answer...... "upload a picture with the sizes on " aghhhhh so ok the descriptions are good because you can put info in them but the public dont read them so put a photo in the description even though the public dont read them then dont bother using the ebay listiongs to display your dispatch times cause the public dont read them but them in the description even though the public dont read them YOU CAN NOT WIN WITH EBAY THEY HAVE AN ANSWER FOR EVERYTHING
i read this a lot on the ebay forums. they really need to use some common sense with this DSR thing.
Jeez, just coming into this selling place really makes me wonder.....thought about this last night funny enough.
was up till 2am.
thinking of opening a store on ebid ( free) yes. there is a £49 one off, lifetime fee, and the through traffic is way lower than ebay's, but it cannot do any harm to get more exposure surely ? - and keeping the ebay store
hence the reason others have said to me - DO NOT put all your eggs in one basket - ie: use ebay store only. Keep your own web site as well.
the buyer is 110% protected on ebay and the seller seems to get shafted right left and center - even when playing by the book 100% ebay rules !
I don't want to be augmentitive but both stories above are kind of justified:
socialgiraffe not updating his ebay, and having a backlog of 600 items not marked as despatched.
Paul for taking 10 days to send a profile.
To sell on ebay you have to abide by their rules - and you're right, nobody reads the descriptions.
This is coming from someone who got 5 negs and a neutral yesterday, from the same person .
I managed to get them rescinded with a bit of grovelling and a refund.
