If you're using a Ricoh I'd say it was too much heat and/or time. What settings are you using?

ha - wished i was justin - brother 5910dw

temp -180 -time - 180 - presure -heavy

tried temp-175 - time - 175 - med pressure - still same
blacks come out fine on my mugs -so inks are ok

the first setting has worked fine for all other colours - bar tonight with the black

edit -

doing a colour chart test on one of my mugs - to see if it is the ink, or printer needs re-profiling again.
