I'm looking at acetate boxes for china mugs.
Two questions, are these acetate boxes not sized for broader durham mugs, will they move about too much?
Also, do the acetate boxes fit inside any of the rugged cardboard postage boxes?

Most acetates are sized for Durhams so you would mostly have the mug moving about inside or to tall to fit. Acetates can fit in a standard size mug postal bos but some suppliers have different size acetates such as BMS (I suppose BMS will say the others are differnt sizes and not theirs so depends which angle you look at it from).

So how would a china/ can mug survive posting in a sturdy box if it's going to roll about in an acetate? I'm going to need a non standard china acetate?

Is there any reason why you want it in an acetate and then a postal box? If I were to send one out and the mug is smaller than the box then we just add bubble wrap.

Re: Postage Box for China Mugs
I wanted the acetate for gift presentation and the postal box to survive the post.
I intend to sell online and I already have some stores wanting the mugs, so looking for one presentation method to cover both sales avenues.
But if the mug is going to roll about inside it's own acetate, the handle will probably break.
Perhaps a plain white postal box is the best option and fill it with bubble wrap.

bubble wrap inside the acetate with a note around it saying - please remove prior to gift wrap perhaps ??
