Re: Mug pricing
Difficult to work out as there are so many variables and ink cost figures are guesswork...£4-5? I'll tell you when I do my next tax return!

Re: Mug pricing
This is what i would do Tryweryn
Everyone will be different, and have different suppliers, mugs, inks, boxes, also i think it depends where your location is with your business and how you run it, shop in town or online?
cost price of your Mug - £?.?? (Base the price on 1 box of 36 mugs, and i guess also include delivery if needed... & VAT (if you are not VAT registered) so you can see it will not cost you anymore)
Ink/Paper/Tape - All depends what brands you are using - £?.??
also are you giving them a mug box with that? - £?.??
Everyone will be different, Just have a play around i guess

Re: Mug pricing
as you know viccki iam new to this i have found people on e bay at lots off diffrent prices and some of the more expensive ones do have reasonable sales. i think at the start it would be slow on the higher price but over time you may get repeat buissness just a thought. its a difficult decision
Re: Mug pricing
6.99 with free postage yes, but 6.99 + £2.20 take a look only the green ones sell (search for personalised mug over £9 thats inc p&p)
http://www.ebay.co.uk/csc/i.html?_udlo= ... 06fy&gbr=1
most of them are childrens mugs which are dearer to buy. Try finding a normal mug thats not copyrighted for 6.99 + p&p what has sold, not many of them

I don't think profit/prices should be banded around an open forum like this - anyone can view, including customers, and you're not doing yourself any favours by basing your costs on the figure suggested - everyone's will be different.
Work your own costs out and make a decision on what profit you'd like to be making - without doing it yourself you'll be working on mickey mouse figures.

Re: Mug pricing
Totally agree John. What is acceptable to one supplier is not necessarily acceptable to another in terms of 'profit'. Some 'fleabay' sellers leave me wondering just how they make anything at all but each to their own.John G;63452 wrote:I don't think profit/prices should be banded around an open forum like this - anyone can view, including customers, and you're not doing yourself any favours by basing your costs on the figure suggested - everyone's will be different.
