Hi

Just had an invitation from one of my possible new suppliers to visit the Trade Only Show at Coventry, next week.

http://www.tradeonly.co.uk/_/trade-only-national-show

Just wondered if anyone is going or what they thought about the show, a few shows coming up and don't really want to waste my time if its all hype.

Cheers all

Phil

Last year I went to the PSI in Düsseldorf. Massive fair with some big suppliers. Look at the exhibitors list http://www.tradeonly.co.uk/_/tons-exhibitors , if there are some useful ones there to make contact with, then its worth going. Especially if its free to get in.

Think I'm going to do this one instead of P&P this year. P&P is good if you're looking at buying equipment. If you're not then many of the clothing suppliers who do the P&P are at the Trade Only show. Hopefully it's also more child free than P&P, as I have to go to P&P on a Sunday I find this is becoming a real annoyance.Or maybe I'm just getting grumpier in my old age :)

A good point there. The trade show was more clothing and printable artice orientated. Well worth it for that. The show here is on next week but I cant afford the membership to go. 800€ish to join and about 250€ yearly membership. How the small trader can afford that I really dont know.
As for kids. I was at another trade show for embroidery a few years ago. Sitting on the Brother stand and talking to the boss and suddenly there was an almighty shout from the boss. A man was holding the hand of his child while the child was about to put his other hand under the needles of a running machine. Thank god there was a security beam accross the front of it and it stopped. Amazing the stupidity of some people.

We also just got back laden with bags of samples, catologues, goodies, and a backache from carrying everything.
If at first you don't succeed, read the manual.
