Vinyl cutting software
Re: Vinyl cutting software
Hi guys
i have purchased a vinyl cutter about a year ago (expert 24) and have not really got around to using it. I am just wondering if anyone knows of any cutting software for this?
Ideally something which will work with a mac.

Ignore the mac software just found out the gcc expert 24 is not compatible!! looks like I will have to dig out my old pc!! I just need some software which is simpler to use than coral
Re: Vinyl cutting software
Ricky I don't know how much experience you've had with Corel but I find it quite easy to use in my 'limited' capacity. I started using it about 3 years ago and at that time found it almost impossible to use however with time I now find it great. Sizing, insetting images in shapes, cropping and most of all adding cut lines are now easy. I would recommend you stick with it because it will pay dividends in the end.Ricky;62898 wrote:Ignore the mac software just found out the gcc expert 24 is not compatible!! looks like I will have to dig out my old pc!! Funny enough, I've tried loads of different software. I'm using signblazer (there's a link to it from the USCutter site).
I just couldn't get Corel working properly for my cutter (Pixmax)
Signblazer is a bit ronseal really - it's very basic, but it does exactly what I want and it's free!
edit: to add to the post below, I have already got my images into Vector format. I just use SignBlazer for the cutting.

I'm learning. So I'm probably spouting rubbish. Be patient

These are all vector tutorials, not specific for vinyl cutting. Im sure if you look on youtube you will find some vinyl ones on there.
