Re: Coralgraph - What the heck is going on?

Post by Justin »

I ordered a small heat press from Coralgraph a few days ago. Following day I get a full refund through PayPal, no explanation. I expected to get an email saying sorry, this press is out of stock. I waited a while, still no email so I emailed them. This is what they said.....

Thank you for the purchase ,the flat press are manufactured by the same manufacturer as the two mug presses you have been purchased before and returned to us because they were inferior design therefore we decided to issue a refund for the payment to avoid any further disappointment with our presses
You are very welcome to purchase any products from us however with the presses I suggest to purchase them from another supplier

I was flabbergasted to say the least. I have recently ordered mug presses as they stated. The first was a 5 mug press and as I've already mentioned on the forum it was awful and went straight back for a refund. I then bought a single head press that (in the photo) was the same as my existing press. When it arrived it was a different/cheaper model and the heat blanket wasn't even attached to the press body...it went back for a refund.

Possibly against my better judgement I ordered this latest heat press. I could get it off eBay slightly cheaper but the only stockist are the Chinese companies shipping from a Portsmouth warehouse. Having dealt with them and also had problems I thought I'd go back to Coralgraph. This press was recommended to me by a 'valued' member of this forum so I wasn't too worried about ordering it.

For Coralgraph to admit in an email to me that the presses are inferior designs is a real poor show. To send me to 'any' other supplier is worse still.

Needless to say third time will be my last time and my last attempt to work with Coralgraph. I'm aware of many members who use them regularly and appear happy with the service but I felt compelled to detail my own recent personal experience.

To add insult to injury, I now receive an email saying the order is pending, Coralgraph really need to get their act together if they stand a chance of competing with the other suppliers regularly discussed here.

Sounds quite shocking or a company to be honest, It should not matter if you have sent sstuff back before and also you would think they would be happy with the chance to show yu they can supplie quality goods.

Very poor showing.

I have had so many of my smaller orders with Coralgraph just refunded and no real reason why has been given. I have tried to get samples that they offer on the website and although they say they are going to send me the samples they never do. All in all the service has not been good so I try to buy elsewhere if possible these days to avoid disappointment.

Justin, I have to say that I would probably have done what they have done, after all they are honest enough to say that they dont think they products would come up to the standards that you want, and also know that you will publicise that fact on your own website, so they have declined to sell to you - so just order from somewhere else, and review the product you receive accordingly. I am also really surprised that you wanted to order another heat press from them, given the track record you have had with them.

I buy quite a lot of product from them, and have always been happy with what i have received from them, however i have not bought any heat press equipment from them so cannot comment on that.

In a way, they're damned if they do, damned if they don't...

If they ship to you, and you're not happy with the product, then they get a bad write up here
If they cancel the order, and don't ship to you, you're not happy, and they get a bad write up here.

But it is odd to have a supplier not have confidence in their own products.

I am with CoralGraph on this one to an extent, although they could have handled it much better. A phone call first to say "We don't want to supply and have a problem, so why did you order another from us?" This would have opened up the "X recommended it and hence......" so you get a press you are happy, they sell a press, they are happy, and if you complain about that one they can say well we did question your expectations.

So I would suggest a civil conversation between both parties to clear the air.

Here Endeth Auntie Janners Agony column.

I know im a newbie, but i ordered my mug press, 36 mugs, 100 paper, ink and ricoh from them and it was deliverd the next day, free delivery (and only £440 inc vat) the man on the phone was good when i was trying to set it all up even when i was getting stressed.
So i have had a good experience..so far.

I too can see Coralgraph's point. It's not only the bad reviews you might give, but I imagine margins are tight at their prices, and with various delivery charges they would loose out on, it's probably not worth their while supplying. Granted, they could have handled it better, but bottom line is what counts. I currently have three of Corelgraph's mug presses and a small swing away, and for the money I think they are an excellent buy.
