The first one is blackletter, a few of that type here.

A daft question. What do you call this type of text style? I often get asked for Old English but thats not very clear. Love to find an alternative.

Probably a daft answer to, but I'd just call them old english style fonts.

In fact they tend to also be called 'Gothic Fonts' for obvious reasons :smile:
