Anybody else come across these. My kids got handed order forms by their school today, despite many people in our village and the school knowing what I do for a living. So much for supporting local business.

I suppose today where schools are concerned it is down to what the school can do to help increase school funds. Where you or I would sell to a school at a lower price, it seems many schools prefer for us to sell more expensively and then pay them commission. I suppose it is less hassle for them that way.

I went into my daughters school and offered a product with a percentage to the school.. sometimes you have to go and speak to them, even though they know what you do hun.. they will always stick with what they know.. and if you don't ask, you wont know

i would say thats the wrong way round myself - if you had wanted to provide this kind of service to them you should have offered it to them, you cant wait for them to come and find you.
for 2013- now you know they are interested in that service, you can turn it to your advantage for next year, find out what the uptake was, and what the schoold gained - was there any hassle, was anyone not satisfied ?? would they be interested in the same service next year, but by a local company.
there is no point being angry and bitter that they did not beat a path to your door, they were perhaps waiting for you to beat a path to theirs ??
