Ok just can't get round the problems and difference in colours of images on screen and that are printed. I have followed the instructions on loading the icc profile for ricoh but I don't get the same result I see on screen. I don't know what setting I changed and the picture came up how it is printed then I don't know what happened or i changed and the picture is back to how I see it on screen. Take a look at the pic if you're already not confused lol!!

If anyone has a ricoh would you mind sending me a image I can print and a pic of the finished item to see if my settings are correct or any other way to see?!
Although will share a pic of my first mug which as you can imagine couldn't believe finally something I've done with sublimation and it wasn't too bad in terms of colour![ATTACH=CONFIG]1127[/ATTACH]

Well am right in thinking the 'duller' image is the printed with sublimation ink image and the very 'vivid' picture the screen one? or is it the other way around?

Remember that a print out on sublimation paper is often very bland and dull until pressed onto the item. However if that is going onto a mug it needs to be reversed.

I am not a ricoh printer owner so cannot advise you on the icc profile issue however this is more a question for Martin at BMS.

from experience I know that ricoh is printing on the cooler side of the colors. This is nothing wrong with the profile. its just the way somone created them On your first image i can clearly see the colors are RIGHT! is just the temperature of them is lower. you can fix this by warming up your picture bit before you print or made a custom profile that is already created with warmer colors. also you can try power driver and see if this same will happen.

Yes the picture that is vivid is the screen one and duller one is the sublimated one. The end result is also dull that I'm not happy with. I don't want to mess with the power driver now I really do need a decent icc profile that will print how I see. I suppose that is the other option now.... am I right in thinking the icc people can be used with a pc so its only specific to the inks no matter what programme or where I use the profile I will get the same result? Also will I have the option of printing out a colour chart like the sawgrass palette to see exactly how the colours print? thanks.

If you're running Windows, why aren't you using PowerDriver? This would be the easier option to set up with your printer.

It's the Ricoh 3300 and I'm using photoshop on the iMac. Powerdriver isn't available on that I don t think and with a icc profile that works I can transfer that over to say Corel if I ever need to use a pc. I just don't want different systems quite easy on the iMac now that I have mastered the basics of photoshop

First. I would not call your colors dull as they are not. They cold.
Second. I think you can try PD but this is onl small piece of software that is handling icc already build in.

Send me your icc profile and i will see if xan warm it up for yo a little.
