You only cut the outline of any letter. The flex is loaded with the clear backing to the bottom - peal back a corner to ccheck which side is flex and which side is backing sheet.

and which side down do you put when firing it into the cameo martin ?....is there a "side" down ?

someone said - shiny side down into cameo....how the hell do i tell the shiny side...they both look the same to me...even with ma specs on

The t-shirt flex i have has no backing, you have to cut it out the dull side in mirror then weed it and then you press it from the other side then pull off the clear top coat. I am beginning to think Mr Ford had the right idea when he said 'you can have a model T ford in any colour as long as it is black'. Way too much choice. Hot Peel/Cold Peel, Short press time, long press time - some days I just want to scream aarrrgghhhh.

this cotton flex stuff is weird as hell......the other nyloflex i could weed no problem...this dam stuff aint even lifting off the cutting matt onto the sticky transfer paper...if i turn material around and print on other side, it lifts the design but leaves the sticky carrier on the matt ..wtf

i just cant get it to weed at all....

off to try some flock -see if i can get any better results with that

I am not too sure if you are still sticking you flex to your carrier board. The carrier board is for card and for materials that you intend to cut all the way through. With vinyl and t-shirt flex you are only trying to cut partially through to the base layer so you do not use a carrier. Maybe you are confusing me with your terminology but I am sure you will suss it soon

right....success with the flock....SUPERB result.....luv the feel of it to .

just cant get to grips with this type of flex.

the flock i used the mat as well funny enough

off to try without the mat...

are there any sites i can get full instuction for differant types of material ?
whether to mirror cut, load this way or that way, blade settings ect.....must be somewhere surely ?
youtube aint throwing up much beside ordinary vinyl....

does EVERY material get mirrored prior to printing ?..apart from sign vinyl if i remember

cotton flex prints & cuts great on large text only...it dont like small fancy text like script...
but at least its progress

fired it onto t-shirt sample no probs....

just need to firgure out how to get small script text to print/weed:wink:

and it was done on a carrier mat....need to work out how to get settings so it doesnt eat my dam vinyl without the mat
