Hello as new to all this I have a question on printing black text onto a coaster or mouse mat I get a red tinge round the outer edges of test.

I am on heat setting 190 and pressing for 50 secs, any ideas?.

Well, the first thing to realise is that to get the blackest black you print with a mixture of colours so a black is often made up from all the CMYK colours. Now if your colour heads are slightly out of alignment to your black head then it is possible to get a section where they mismatch. Now I am not saying this is the cause of your tinge but it is worth trying 2 things. 1) Do a head realignment test print and check for best alignment. 2) In the software you are producing your image in check what the CMYK values are for your 'black' and adjust to 100% blacK and 0% on the CMY sliders.

Hope this will fix your issue.
