How?
What resolution / minimum dot size could I get with the expanding vinyl, - and how high does it rise?
microdots printed on a cotton poplin and are raised from the fabric approximately 0.12cm and 0.2cm in diameter.

mmmm, are you thinking of the puff vinyl ?? would be a real sod to weed as the backing is not particularly tacky

As Mrs Maggot has just said... nightmare to weed this one, we use it a lot but I must admit I don't think I fancy this one. Me thinks you'll have to do a bit of experimenting. My cutter on max pressure would not like this design.
You will achieve various degrees of of depth in the 3D or Puff depending on how long you press it.

can be done. but not to small dots. if you would like to do some "half tone" effects I agree with Mrs. Maggot. not tacky enough and dots will come off while weeding :/
shame as it would look great!
