Re: Custom polypropylene/PVC/clear plastic boxes

Post by pisquee »

Hi,
We're needing to source some custom clear plastic boxes, like these mug boxes http://www.printerowners.co.uk/sublimat ... r-mugs.htm from BMS. But we need different sizes making up - wanting them for the glass chopping boards, and then for sets of The Transfer Press' square glass coasters.
For the glass coasters, we'd like them layed out flat in a set of six, so a box which is 20cm x 30cm and not very deep - not sure where to look for something off the shelf, or made to order, Google not turning up much, so wondered if any of you knew of anywhere?

Thanks

Tim

Do they need to be acetate or cardboard with a cut out? The factories that do acetate ones will probably have minimum orders of a few thousand. If you do it with cardboard then this would probably be cheaper - or you could get your self a small cutter like the Craft ROBO or Cameo and cut these yourself. There is a thread on here somewhere about custom boxes.

Minimum orders aren't necessarily a problem, just needing to know who to approach really. Would prefer complete clear plastic boxes, as the design will spread over the 6 coasters, so we'd like the box to work as a display.
Companies I've found so far seem to be more storage box type clear plastic rather than thinner display/retail box stuff.

Have you tried looking at the bag and box man. They do quite a lot of different packaging, and if quantity is not an issue, you may be able to get custom size made up.
