adding font choice for customers

hi peeps....
was wondering what you all do for fonts for customers orders ?
Is it left up to you to decide which font to use ?
Do customers tell you which font they want ?

i was thinking about adding in a font choice drop down menu for my opencart store.....
but no one has a clue how to do it over on the opencart forums (yet)...google aint much help either funny enough

is it worth the hassle ?

whats your take on this guys ?

you could have a separate page with fonts on and then put FONT1 in the style FONT2 in its style, but i would limit it to 5 fonts at the most, otherwise you are just asking for trouble, I just give them the slogan they want in the font i want lol

I have an image on my product page for fonts and colours then a drop down menu for the customer choose which font and colour they want

I use opencart by the way.

I would say definitely give customers a certain amount of choice of fonts and colours. That way it feels more personal to them and they have some control

On my site I have font styles and colour options to choose from and it has proved very popular.

As most of my enquiries come in by e mail I simply reply asking them to check out the fonts on their computer and let me know which they prefer.......job done.

@mantinx - thats the kind of thing i was thinking about on your site but.....

i got a hell of a lot of options at the moment ( size/colour ect)....and a text box already under "available options".
just wondering if it would a little to confusing for your average punter to add this as well !!!

think i might go down rogers route...sort of..

maybe stick an info balloon or something on the product page asking them to tell me what font they want...

all good fun....:rolleyes:....

I design all artworks/images using a font i think is apt for the situation - unless my customer specifies a particular font.
