just dug out my old dx4450 printer......bought some new inks for it ( not sub ink )...fired em in and.....

Hmmm.....

its not recognizing the inks for some reason....

4x big cross's at each ink pot on status monitor
i got the green on light and a red light next to the ink icon...as if they are empty, i presume !

any ideas whats up ?

just want it for printing/copying docs ect

Have you tried taking them out and putting them in again, are you using Epson cartridges?

yes and yes......

sorted now........its in the BIN !.

new ones with scanner/copy/print facility start from only £29 argos....add in refill carts & 400ml ink from ebay @ £24 for both = SORTED !

Take plug out of wall, put safety goggles on - hit with hammer as hard as you can - there, well and truly fixed. :biggrin:

hell yeh....nothing more satisfying than kicking the sh*t outta something that dont work.....makes me all fuzzy n warm inside lol:wink:

you laughing... I fixed old cassette player in similar way :wink:
...against the wall :)
looks rough when i finished with it but played cassettes as new :D

That's what I do now. Printer with 80-100ml refillables, top them up with a tenner's worth of ink from ebay, and never worry about it again. :wink:

So cheap now that the best method of fixing a printer is to dump it. :biggrin:
