super servant, forelock pulling, self employed,bad customer day

Today I had a customer who thought she was in the Victoria age, She me feel like I should pulling my forelock as she was spending a lot, for nearly one hour and a half I put up with her appalling manner and had to keep getting up after she wipe her feet on me, I could feel the anger in my chest growing but kept it under control, when she left I went in the back room and let of steam, it spoilt my day even though she had put money in the till. I know that we in the retail have to take a lot of crap but today I went beyond the call of duty. Times for self employment is hard enough and if I work for someone else I would have NOT taken that crap. I loved being self employed and this is the closest I have ever come to packing it in, I loved helping people to give the gift that they want but today I didn't ( horrible feeling ). Right rant over, hoping that telling this will get it out of my system as I still feel uptight. No I still feel like beating the crap of someone. Ideas welcomed.

you may find that when she comes back in she is different, thats when its hardest, as you are on the offensive when you see them come in through the door. - chin up and money in the bank
