mug printing problem still :(

hi there , just wondering if yous could point me in the right direction, i have been printing mugs for just over 3 weeks now, most of my mugs are fine and colours are great,but some are still coming out with poor quality,?!?!? why is this ? i usually put them in for 160 for 160, but sometimes lower the time if i am doing a photo mug because sometimes the the black is kinda brown:mad:, is there any set times, and temp to put the mugs in? i am using 12oz mugs now , is there a different time and temp to do the other than the 11oz ones? i have done a few plates and put them in at 170 for 120 secs, and they have been fine, is there anything i am doin wrong , i dont wonna keep ruining mugs !! plz help ppl

What printer/paper are you using? Are you sure they're 12oz mugs? Who do you buy the mugs from?

i bought the mugs from coralgraph, also the plates, the paper i got from ebay, but have used the paper before and it was fine , i got paper from a mate too who also was printing mugs fine, i have an epson sylus 21, yeah defo 12oz mugs

What is the poor quality? Is this banding, wrong colours, blotchy print, fading at edges, etc etc.

its mostly the colours (well mostly black) that dont come out properly sometimes the pic is patchy and not as clear as when i first started them

I dontthink coralgrqph is selling 12oz ones. Any way... What do you mean by bad quality??? Why 160c??? I wouldnt go lower then 180c.

Yep, temp way to low. 180-190 would be needed as a starting point.

well i got 11oz mugs before and they came from coral graph and when i got these ones they are bigger so i assimed they are 12oz, i read on here somewhere that you usually use 160c for 160sec, i was told if u over cook it the blacks go kinda brown dont they????

That info was for Ricoh printers, NOT epsons

so what will i do??? i think i am using ricoh ink (im not a pro at this lol)
