Re: Coaster Gift Boxes

Post by pisquee »

Hi,
We've been selling the glass coasters (from transferpress) both square and round, and last weekend we pretty much sold out (around 150) and got more in. Today we were told they would sell even better if they were packaged (today was slower, so we were looking for ideas) so I am trying to source clear plastic boxes for coasters, ideally one small enough for a single coaster, and then maybe a bigger one for either set of 4 or set of 6.
Anyone seen anything around that would suit the bill?
Thanks

I have loads of white cardboard boxes that the standard wooden coasters fit in
i was selling these a while ago and a few members bought some as they were a good price and did help to package 4 coasters
pm me or do a search for the past posts as i can't remember where it was :~ :)

Hi,
Wish I'd been looking for them back when the original ebay ad was there!
What are their dimensions? (in case they are suitable for other products we sell)

How many do you have left? What price are you looking for on them now?

Thanks

If you still have some left after pisquee's had a bunch, Steve, I could do with another couple of hundred.

I have a while before I'll run out completely, and I've been looking on eBay to see what's available. This caught my eye: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/220864724477 It's a cake box 90mm on all sides, so it might well hold about 20-30 coasters (depending on backing) - which might be interesting if you're doing a lot of coasters (I'm typically doing 60-100 at a time, but they're usually different designs so the smaller boxes suit better). They do those boxes in quantities up to 500 for cheaper per-item cost.

For a more decorative gift box (and more expensive), you could use a bracelet box like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310301229164 (if the inners can be removed).

If your coasters are bigger (and glass ones typically are), then other jewellery boxes such as this one: http://www.beadsdirect.co.uk/jewellery- ... box/BX16./ (11cm sq.) might be of interest. These are sold individually and so are more expensive. This one goes up to 17.5cm square for the larger coasters: http://www.beadsdirect.co.uk/jewellery- ... arge/BX20/. These boxes are about an inch deep, so you'd leave the inners in it for single coasters.
