Buy cheap, buy twice..I did :frown: Look out for a 2nd hand atkins/magic touch/xpres heat press. Expect to pay £400+.

edit: just had a quick look on ebay, something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Adkins-BETA-A ... 4aadd3e00f

Second hand purchases are also a gamble though:eek:

To me, this looks a cheap version of this: http://www.printerowners.co.uk/hardware ... -press.htm - I got one of these last year from BMS and use it daily with no problems.

i have one very similar to this from joy, second hand, and i would say that the press opening is very narrow - i can show you the burn on my hands - had to use it while waiting for my geo knight to be repaired, try to get one that opens up as much as possible

Well, technically they're not a company as they're not registered as a business on ebay, therefore denying you your rights under the distance selling regulations :(

So, I wouldn't go near that seller even if it was only them that sold a press in that size

The Adkins would be a bargain at that price I am in the process of ordering mine at the moment from Xpress at £895 +vat. A couple of members on the forum pointed me in the direction of Xpress, and it was well worth the visit as we are now ordering the Adkins 38x50 heatpress and the Adkins mug press. life time guarantee on the heatpress element.

Jack.
