canvas printing
Re: canvas printing
is it alright to print on the bright white side of canvas as it says to print on the dull side for vibrant results and its come out as dull as hell.
Re: canvas printing
Have you tried it on the other side seeing as how you've obviously got one that's not very good?
Re: canvas printing
yeah i tried that and both sides come out with a faded look, which is passable but not exactly what i was expecting. I thought you would get the same vibrancy as the t-shirts. so a tad disappointed.
They look like they've been left out in the sun too long!!

Re: canvas printing
If you're using sublimation inks, which from you previous post, sounds like you are, then, they're not really suitable for canvas printing as you need the heat to process them, so to speak, same as with a tshirt
Re: canvas printing
Sorry, posted too soon, you could try printing on to paper same as you do for your tshirts, then pressing onto the canvas and see if that works, though the canvas needs to be polyester based for sublimation inks to work.
Re: canvas printing
Im using sublimation inks on an epson printer, i print on subli paper then heatpress that onto the canvas. is that wrong??
Re: canvas printing
Never done these but it could be the type of paper, maybe you need a high release one - what type are you using?
Re: canvas printing
then why is it sold in the sublimation section with the details on what to do?? it doesnt say not suitable for sublimation and if it wasnt surely it wouldnt be in the sublimation part. i did print on the same paper what i use for the t-shirts. do you think i need to print directly on to the canvas and then heat press it?? im presuming it is polyester based as like i said its in the sublimation section with all the sublimation items.
Re: canvas printing
im using sublimation paper tru pix, which seems to be the best one for sublimating. i think i will contact bms and see what they say as they are the ones selling it. trouble is its just all money down the drain.
