Christmas 156 days left
Re: Christmas 156 days left
It now only 156 days left to Xmas, I have a small programme that pops up and lets me know, now is the time that I have to plan ahead decided what I'm buying, guess what the most wanted item will be and how much stock levels will be needed, and try to find new lines, and only the rest that goes with it am I the only one that plans this far ahead. I know some some start earlier than me. More work that I have now. humbug

Thanks for the reminder Jennywren - I always leave it too late for xmas ideas and when I get round to it I've missed the boat.

Thanks Jenny. I was in the post office yesterday & noticed they have the 2012 diaries on sale.
Re: Christmas 156 days left
for me it will mean me looking at the suppliers at the autumn fair, I use to go and see what they had, but now I look on line, it takes twice as long with out the fun. I do like to see products and touch them before I buy. Its harder to chose on line I don't get that gut feeling, what will sell/, how many units shall I buy?. Buying on line is cheaper than visiting the show but much more boring.
Re: Christmas 156 days left
here is the web address for stock ( not sublimation ect ) but general gift ware. www.autumnfair.com I saw some nice knuckleduster mugs.

Re: Christmas 156 days left
ive been doing the knuckeduster mugs for about 2 years now, there are now some horrible copies of them, so beware.
I also hear that the autumnfair are cutting down on the number of "businesses" visiting that are not registered businesses if that makes sense. must say at the spring fair i lost count of the number of times i heard people saying - can we just have one as a sample when you can hear them chatting about how that would make a nice gift for aunt maud etc

Re: Christmas 156 days left
The handles of the mug was like knuckledusters, we must be talking about two different things. I must admit I have never heard any one about having a sample for that reason. I don' sell candles but at the show I love the electric air freshers, I have asked if I could purchase one for myself, I think most people are fair like this. mind you if they was giving away free sample then I accepted, I have some lovely life bags that was free samples. What I do ask for is discount on the wholesale price if I feel its relevant. But looking at stock is far nicer and quicker than doing it on the web. At the show I walk by those stall that are pertaining to my bushiness, but on the internet I'm only up to page 14 as some suppliers have one or two items that I need,at this rate the show will be over by the time I've trawled through them. next year I shall be going as I'm bored of looking at the internet.

Re: Christmas 156 days left
nope they are the same mugs the handles are knuckledusters, imported originally by http://www.thabto.co.uk/mug.htm, but like i say there are now some horrid copies around.
i normally use their online planner, and put in the companies i need to see there, and the ones i would like to look at, then the suppliers i use regularly who i might be having lunch or a coffee with. like you say being there is beter than the catalogue, although mine is never far away when i try to remember where i saw something, i take post it notes, and then leave notes on the pages of companies that interest me

Re: Christmas 156 days left
I must admit I'm not as organized as you at the show, I only pick up the literature to remind me what I like, and always get sidetrack by the candles section. My husband tells me he going to buy a cattle prod to get me past them. Decided against the mugs
