Re: Packaging...

Post by Lee »

Hi there

I need to send a mug, including contents, in a gift bag direct to a recipient (so it arrives as a gift)... I was thinking perhaps plain box filled with packing peanuts....

I guess the box would need to be between 20cm cubed - 30cm cubed (for bigger options I do)... does anyone currently send mugs this way, and if so can recommend a supplier for nice boxes and packing peanuts......

Many thanks!!

how about the ploystyrene boxes with a sleeve around it, perhaps giftwrapped ?? then in a plain box.

Why do you want a big box for 1 mug? What else is being sent or am I missing something? The "and contents" bit a lost me I guess...... is that tea or coffee ;)

thanks both - its to include small gift type items but they will pertrude above the edge of the cup, so the standard boxes are too small.....Ive found plenty of plain boxes, but I want something a bit more jazzy....then its received as a gift, but save to post..

i would still put it in something plain, even if its only a plastic mailer over the box, once people delivering items know they are "gifts" temptation can often lead them astray

could you not put the mug in the box, with the top cut off, then inside a ready made metallic / patterned bottle bag filled up with trimmings, and then in a mailer ??

these do large boxes, you would have to lay the mug down but it would look effective http://www.midpac.co.uk/gift-boxes/larg ... gift-boxes
