New to this - please help!

So I have just purchased a mug press and D120 printer for doing our own promotional mugs. I'm expecting the kit to arrive next week (being New year etc) but would really like to get our design finalised before the kit arrives. The problem is that I am a bit stumped as to what size to make the design. I have purchased the European mugs, and although I am able to work out the circumference, am not sure what the ideal print area is (because of the handle and also what area the press will Print).
I have purchased an identical press to the DF1.

Can anyone pls help?

I can print on DF1 designes 22cmx9,5cm on 11oz mugs so I think it should suit you. if not... litle trial and error we have templates section sticked on this forum so you can find plenty "help" ther. all free
