Hi all,

Again on the polymer mugs trail - I got confirmation back today from a contact of mine... the prices are so high for these mugs... I asked for 100 11oz polymer mugs which I can get for 68p but the shipping is wait for it.... £150... what is going on in the world?

shipping is double the cost of the mugs :-0

getting slightly frustrated now

I guess importing is not set-up for small volumes. Air freight is rarely cost effective unless you have a very compact product. With mugs this is not the case. You need to be able to justify atleast 1 pallet to then put it on sea freight which can then come to more of a sensible cost.

They are different - plastic v ceramic. The polymer mugs will be very straight, not spray coated as it is the material that is sublimatable rather than the coating. I wouldn't say they were better - they are a different product for a different market. Personally I wouldn't want to drink out of a plastic mug, but there are plenty of places/ opportunities where plastic mugs would be better than ceramic ones.

Our Polymer mugs are arriving into the UK tomorrow so we should have then on sale next week sometime.

I'll try to remember! We're looking at several new products at the moment. Some went online this afternoon and others are in review.
