Re: Postage Costs....

Just thought I'd throw this one out there.....I advertise as free postage, but obviously include the cost in my costs so to speak......but....what works best for you? A lower price to hook the worm and charge postage, or a higher postage-free price? Do customers expect to pay postage....?

If your selling on ebay I wouldn't give free postage on mugs - your paying FV fees on this when you don't need to.

I think most people expect to pay postage - unless they can collect.

Half of the support staff don't know the regulations either, ad they get changed so much :(

The community manager said it won't happen on UK site, but he's said that before about other things and he's been wrong.

I'm liking the new change that's available from next month for non shop owners being allowed to have MVLs :-D

Having said that, with the new fee structure for shops, I might take on a basic one, will see how I feel, lol

I run a basic shop - the rules seem to change all the time though! I had an email the other day about power sellers changing the structure or something like that. Goes in one ear and out the other at the moment as I'm concentrating on other work related things.

Insertion fees are changing for basic and featured shops, but the one in the middle doesn't have any changes. Then, there are the increase to FVFs to 12%, for most categories, which sounds good at a 2% increase, but in reality, it's a 20% increase on fees for some. :(

It may be 12% FV but have the insertion fees for shops not dropped so for low priced items you'll gain - or have I read this wrong?
