Water activated Tape

I am having problems with sticky tape and i have tried numerous brands and types.
After an hour or so the tape starts to lift away from the boxes so im finding i have to apply so much tape to secure the box.

Having seen water activated tape machines i'm considering grabbing one.
I wouldn't need a fancy digital one so one of the £200 machines i think would work well for me.

Before i jump in would anyone have any advice on one of these machines?
What and where to buy or what to avoid etc?
