I'm trialling Wasatch SoftRIP for my VJ628 Printer and it's a bit of a steep learning curve. As I understand it you choose your printer from the list of supported devices and this should allow you to then choose from a number of profiles (Imaging Configurations) for your choice of subli substrate. There are two pre-installed Chromalux configurations but nothing for glass, metal, polyester etc. I've watched a demo which implies that there is a wide choice of imaging configurations preinstalled but the vid was quite old so this may have changed. If these aren't preinstalled, where do I get them from? Can't find anything on the sawgrass website. I really don't want to have to do my own profiling in order to use the RIP.
TIA

Sawgrass should supply all profiles for their printers.

I’ve sent a support ticket last week but no response yet. Hopefully they will provide something. Wasatch say they are no longer making profiles for the VJ628.Justin;154403 wrote:Sawgrass should supply all profiles for their printers.

Thanks. Wasatch say they aren’t making profiles for the printer anymore. Don’t know if that means they are phasing it out of their supported list.Allycat;154394 wrote:Wasatch SoftRIP is definitely very much a learning curve! If the profiles you need aren’t being displayed, they may not be included by default on newer versions or with the particular set up of your printer. Have you tried directly contacting Wasatch support, or anyone there? Most of the time they have the latest profile available or they may be able to get it or can direct you to their source. It means that if you don’t; you may need to set up custom profiles for things such as glass or metal, which can be a pain.
