Re: Oki Pro 7411WT / Magic Touch Space Control

Post by AngieF »

Hi

My Oki Pro 7411WT died last week after nearly 10 years. It was set up with Magic Touch Space Control software, I managed to find a cheap second hand printer locally which had barely been used and assumed I'd be able to plug it in and go but unfortunately not. I've still got Space Control on the PC but it's not connecting with the printer and Magic Touch are saying I have to buy a new license for £299. I have the Forever Transfer RIP software disc but I don't have the dongle so I can't seem to load that to use instead. Does anyone have any ideas or do I need to just suck it up and get the license?

Thanks

Angie

Are you sure that TMT understood you correctly. Only reason is I thought I would need a new OKI last year (turns out I didn’t) but when I spoke to them they said I could use the existing Space Control.

Failing that, SC is only an easier way of selecting the correct media settings. You don’t actually need it to print the special papers it just make it easier.
