Joined the forum to learn about Dye Sub and other areas Dye Sub is used other than making S.E.G (Silicone Edge Graphics) for frames. Coming from a large format background Printing boards & Roll to Roll (up to 3.2m wide) printing Vinyl, Canvass, Foamex, Dibond, cut vinyl, One piece raffa wallpaper, Window graphics (CMYK + White Ink) Silicone Edge Graphics (Backlit & Blockout) for different sectors such as exhibitions, retail, Crafting community, Pop Up Shops ect...
Reason to move into Dye Sub is our S.E.G were all produced on a HP Latex (L3100) but work load has increased and the Latex could not keep up producing fabrics in the Turnaround times needed, Cost of ink per SQM + They not very durable longterm indoor use and only Short term outdoor use and a few other factors.
I have a Epson SC-9400H in CMYK + Fluorescent Pink & Yellow configuration installed last week & currently waiting for a delivery date for a roll to roll calendar press. The Speed and Quality of the epson is amazing from the sample prints i have made and cant wait to get into doing Dye Sub printing onto a dedicated machine / Process.
