Epson XP225

Hi Folks

I have a second hand Epson XP225 printer which I was assured was working, I got it home and tried it and it wasn't recognising 1 of the cartridges. I decided to buy a CISS and primed it and installed it and it is not recognising it, I have tried resetting it, rechecking it is installed properly (x30) removing it, turning printer off for 30 minutes and turning it on and reinstalling the CISS but to no avail. I tried reinstalling the original ones several times and it doesn't recognise different ones.

Can anyone recommend anything else or just accept I have bought a dud.

I have a new one on order but would like to get this sorted to possibly sell/gift on

Sounds like it’s not reading the chips on the inks.
have you checked it’s not obstructed?

otherwise it’s a dud.
