Hi, hope all's well. Ater some advice, I make personalised photo gifts with sublimation (mugs etc as well as flat products). If something goes wrong and you have to dispose the item (with someone's photo), how do you get rid of them?

Not keen to put them in the bin as we've had people snooping through our bins in the past.

Cheers

We have the same but for officially licensed products. We always smash the items to make them completely useless before putting in waste.

depends on the item. glass coasters I sandblast the back off, then I sandblast a pattern on the front. Mugs I just sandblast the coating off (with a soft grit) which sometimes leaves a pretty normal mug

Or the safer approach would be to put them back in the heat press or oven and cook them until they go very blurred.

You can print solid black over them

We reclaim ours then re-use the mugs..... just need sufficient temp to do this.

You can fully remove the print by high firing then screen print or water slide the mug.
