A few questions?
Re: A few questions?
I'm using the ricoh gx e3300. When I print a black and White image it comes out almost purple, then when I press it it come out green. Why is that happening?
I am using the Xpres paper and the Xpres t's.
I am pressing at 180-185 for 55 seconds. At a medium pressure. Is this right?
Thanks

Re: A few questions?
Are you using PowerDriver for printing? Blacks are usually very deep with the Ricoh.
On a spare part of the same tshirt press for 50'seconds and 75 seconds. Does that make a difference!

I am using the PowerDriver. I will have try it at the different times. What sort of pressure do I need to use?
It's the printing green issue I need to sort really. When I print black and White should I change a setting in the PowerDriver? Also the image has been converted to greyscale in ps.

Re: A few questions?
Might need to get someone a little more proficient in PS that me to ask about converting to greyscale in PS. I don't know what that would do, but bear in mind that to print grey you use all the colours to create an optical illusion of grey. Close up scrutiny of a picture printed in 'greyscale' will show lots of small dots of various colours. The 'purple' tone might be as a result of that process. Can you print in black/ white rather than colour?

Re: A few questions?
Sounds like the printer is printing in CMYK instead of just using Black ink. Even though the image is greyscale (or mono or black and white to some) the printer will try and print in all four colours using its own form of what's best. If you choose print to greyscale (or mono or black ink only on some printers) in the settings, it will force it to use black ink only.
Re: A few questions?
Ok thanks I will try that. Also what sort of pressure do you use for t's and how do you stop the press marks?
Thanks
Thanks
Re: A few questions?
There was a link posted the other day about how to avoid the press marks, basically what you do is tear the paper along each side so you've got a ragged edge and it helps to eliminate the press marks, not tried it yet so not sure if it works or not.
I use medium pressure for doing t's

Re: A few questions?
Yeah I did see that. It's the outside press lines that I would like to get rid off.
