Reusing EAN numbers

Hi,

Does anyone one know if you can reuse EAN numbers on a different platform for different products?
I pay for a handful of EAN numbers for Amazon and now I wish to sell on another platform that wants EAN numbers. I don’t really want to spend any more money and thus would like to reuse the numbers – my guess is that because they are different platforms it will not be an issue?

Barcodes are bought in batches of 1000 from GS1. Not sure how you only have a handful?

Thanks, I had read the links before.
I only buy the barcodes to allow me to list on selling platforms and was hoping that I could reuse barcodes on different selling platforms as am guessing that Amazon, eBay etc do not share their catalogue with each other. I am hoping all they do is just check GS1 if the code is legit which it will be and let me carry on – thoughts?


To me 1000 is just a handful J when all your t-shirt/top designs come in 6 sizes and 4 colours – 1000 does not go far. I would usually buy more but I am trying to reduce my overheads am much as possible atm.
