We need to move up to a larger format heat press and are considering the Sefa Slide 1285 or the Adkins Omega 750 v.2

The Sefa is twice the price of the Adkins with only slightly larger usable plate.

We will be pressing lots of different substrates from fabric to chromalux MDF panels but the most vital thing is that it will cope with pressing lots of small ceramic items so must be very smooth to stop the ceramics moving. From the video I've seen of the Adkins, it seems very jerky when opening and closing.

Has anyone used these presses?

We have the adkins (different brand but same press) and indeed opens fairly quickly with a jolt. We use for glass mainly and tape to paper to prevent ghosting. Happy to send video of it in use via WhatsApp if you pm me.

Thanks for the offer. It sounds like the opening mechanism would definitely rule that one out. If we had to tape 50+ coasters each time it would use up any time saving in using the bigger press. I'm going to try and get a demo of the Sefa I think.
