Re: Costs of deliveries to and from the EU?
I occasionally buy from the UK but can see no info of the new postal charges. There was another post on here about this but cannot find it.
Has anybody sorted out these costs yet?
I live in Germany and like to support the UK suppliers but if costs are too high then I have to buy from over here.

Re: Costs of deliveries to and from the EU?
I sent some stuff to Europe pre BREXIT and had some additional charges added and thinly veiled as COVID administration (whatever that was).
I have just sent a few yesterday and more going today. I do know that the administration of these packages is taking considerably longer than previously due to customs declarations etc.
I will get the invoice probably next week, if you can wait until then I will be able to give you a direct comparison using DPD's European road services if that helps.

Im in no hurry. I do know the postal charges have gone up but Its all the hidden charges that I need to know. I buy my transfers from Graphiscreen in London and want to keep using him as he is a good printer.socialgiraffe;146720 wrote:I sent some stuff to Europe pre BREXIT and had some additional charges added and thinly veiled as COVID administration (whatever that was).

Are you guys aware you need to purchase allowances for packaging going into European countries to cover recycling? The allowance isn't EU wide, you need to purchase an allowance for each country. The fines are eye watering!

It's not their problem. It's nothing to do with Brexit, it applies to those in the EU as well.socialgiraffe;146736 wrote:in a word... NOPE

Here is a German link (in English!) but every EU country is applying it, but you can't get an EU allowance. It appears to be each individual country with their own rates. . https://www.lizenzero.de/en?gclid=CjwKC ... OYQAvD_BwE
I believe it has been in force since the end of March 2020.

More info available through this site. Note I have not used them, so can't comment one way or the other.

I looked into that green tax a whle back and came to the conclusion that small sellers didn't need to apply or pay for anything.
On another subject:
"TNT/ Fed Ex has said it is now imposing a surcharge of £4.31 on all shipments between the UK and the EU...Rivals DHL and UPS have also taken similar measures."

I doubt that national postal carriers charge anything though, although your weight is limited.
