Re: Dense Black printing issues

Post by Martinx »

Hi
I am having problems printing a dense black on the Xpress transfer paper I am using. The inks are artainium and printing using Epson S21. The print looks more a black with a blueish tinge.

I am using Indesign on a mac and just wondered if the black should be made out of CMYK, RGB?

Also when pressing a black print to a mug should I lower the press time?
Currently temp 180 at 180sec.

Thanks
Martin

Hi Martin, are you pressing the image or just looking at it on the paper? Can you check the composition of the black to make sure it is 100% black and not a combination of colours?

Hi Justin
Just pressed it on a mug and seems ok. I was just looking at the print on the paper! I tried C:20 M:20 Y:20 K:100 and 100% black but both looked the same. Weird.

I would go for 100% CMYK for the deepest black colour.
