Does anybody know how these are made?
I know you can get the black mugs with white strips and then you sublimate onto them but these look a lot cleaner.

There are several different ways that black mugs are printed, but reading "between the lines" Mrteajunkie is correct in what he suggests.
Other options are cylindrical screen printing, tampo printing and waterslide technology but these three methods require a lot of specialist knowledge and kit.
White toner printing has come a very long way and as someone who uses theirs A LOT the results are spot on. At the moment the process is quite expensive as the mugs alone are £1.80 plus VAT, however in the New Year I am hoping to be able print on any colour mug (no coating required) with it being dishwasher proof etc.

No, it’s just a different style of printing, vinyl printing on to mugs is considered a bit Mickey Mouse

It’s not the print that scratches it is the mug coating itself (if you get the best mugs for the job in hand)
However, this is all about to change...
