Assuming it is a mug, 300 secs is far to long. Try 180 as a starting point and see how you get on. It can be quite hard to get a true black but a bit of fiddling should get you there.

If blacks are black then are you sure the text is 100% CMYK? If it is dark looking on screen it doesn't mean it is true black.

Far too long on the time if its a mug - take it down to 170 - 180 and give that a try. Failing that it could be your colour settings.

I just doing mugs with a all black logo, which is always a mare on bms musgs, I had to turn down the temp a bit to get the black I needed, which also reduce the paper line where the top and bottom lines are, ( you could see where the paper started and ended which gave a whiter shade at top ond bottom) Hope that makes sense, Got it off pat now, this is the first time i have used their mugs and I am quite pleased. Love they way they are packed, we only at the moment offer a pick up service and am think of posting 36 mugs, we do indivual mugs but not bulk. Well done Martin
