Re: Miffed at Sawgrass

Post by Volusian »

I bought 2 Ricoh SG3110 printers from BMS a few years ago. All was well until we upgraded the main PC systems. We reinstalled Powerdriver v4 and it requires us to register. When we click register is fails every time ... invalid website. We tried contacting Sawgrass live chat and waited over 2 hours and still not got through .. I now read online that sawgrass have dropped support for Powerdriver 4 and not use the Virtuoso software. We do not have virtuoso printers but installed it anyway but cannot get it to work and tbh .. .dont like the idea of online design. We use Photoshop for everything. Is there a way of printing direct from Photoshop to the SG3110 as the results so far today have not been that good .. blotchy print .. any help appreciated

Why are you using Powerdriver? It's dead simple to print from Photoshop? Simply install the correct ICC profile (available free from your ink supplier, or can be made to suit your setup by a third party for a small fee), and you're good to go.

Maybe they are using Sawgrass inks? Hence powerdriver.

I would suggest losing the Sawgrass inks and speaking to The Ink Experts on here or via their website. Get their inks and ICC profile.
