Re: Canon iP8750 - Inkjet photo Printer - Head Issue?
I've ben using the Canon for a while now for small photos and it's been a brilliant printer.
Last few days I've noticed banding in the black. Tried head cleaning, deep cleaning, removed the print head assembly and cleaned (yes you really can do this in the Canon very easily!!) Just done a full manual head alignment but line still appears.
Wondering if a new print head would be the solution?

It is (was) a superb printer yes.
Is this a seller of heads? I see they're around £40 UK, £15 in China. I did wonder if I'd be better just replacing the printer for a cheaper A4 if print quality was as good but would like to save it.

Sorry, just checked, i can see he does sell the heads, Not cheap though.
I'm cleaning the print head again, leaving to soak etc. just as a last chance effort. if replacing the head would deffo sort the issue I'd be happy to go for it.

I think it's worth saving, as not only a great printer, but I think the cheap ones are slower and unlikely to produce the same quality. Of course the A3 aspect is important to me.

How does the iP8750 compare to say the Epson 1500W or the Canon Pro 10s?raydavies;140171 wrote:I have one of these and think it's superb!
I'm not happy at all with my 1500W for printing small photos and need something urgently. But it needs to be almost lab quality.

Photo quality is far superior to the 1500W and the overall printer is much much better quality. I believe the Canon Pro are a serious step up but for what I use I wouldn't justify the additional outlay.

As printers go I have found the ix8750 to be superb and fantastic value for money.

Re: Canon iP8750 - Inkjet photo Printer - Head Issue?
I had read that the iP8750 had issues separating colour and blocked it up. My main issue is going to be whether bronzing is present, so looking to up the quality to maybe the 100s or 10s. The Canon cashback offer ends today...ahhh!UK Printed Mugs;140269 wrote:We have both a pro 10s and ip8750. Big difference. Gallery quality prints from pro 10s only.
