Hi everyone!
I'm stuck!
My cousin has purchased a second user plotter (sadly without consulting me first)
Cosmetically lokkis in great nick, powers & perform test cut... but that is as far as it goes.
I've always used Rolands, Summas & Zunds so these are unknown to me.
It came with no cable or drivers.
These i've managed to source, hooked up to my jurassic Laptop - Win 7/Flexi 12 that i use from time to time for
my Summa D60U.
Pc won't recognise the plotter when connected via the USB printer lead
But it also has a com port so usb conversion lead sourced..now pc will detect machine, but upon sending a job to production manager
it can't open the port.
I'm not sure if i'm overlooking something or the mainbaord/Firmware is up the swanny.
Attempted all manner of things to get up & running for him, ended up passing my Summa over for the time being.
Fingers crossed someone will have experienced something simiar, if it's dead in thr water looks like my Summa bill be out longterm & he'll have to part the Liyiu.
Liyu SC631E not connecting
Re: Liyu SC631E not connecting
I remember something about ports. I think the magic number was 4.
also, try shorter or new USB cable. it was a problem in my case when I had my old Chinese cutter.
