Dye sublimation results

Hi all. Have been looking into sublimation and want to know if the results are easy to get on cups, bottles, and unisub wood tiles? Thanks

Depends what you mean by 'easy!'

Assuming you buy decent equipment, have good inks and paper, and quality substrates (mugs, coasters, whatever...), you still need to learn how to use it all, and you need to experiment to get the best results. This means that you'll be making scrap at first and there's no avoiding that.

The only way to get into sublimation is to take the plunge and risk some time and money. The very first thing you need to consider is whether you have a market for your produce. The most difficult part is not manufacturing, but sales. The market is flooded with people making sublimated items, and profits are meagre in most cases, so unless you have a large market it will turn out to be more of a hobby than a business.

Good advice above. All I would say is buy a package (printer, heat press, inks, paper and sample substrates) from one supplier who will then be able to support any problems you have with all of the equipment. Stick with a Sawgrass printer initially. See suppliers such as:
