Mug King Mug Press settings
Re: Mug King Mug Press settings
We have an older mug press at work and i am trying to get it to work. Wondering if anyone knows the best settings to use for it. I have made a few mugs, but parts of the image comes out blurred or smudged looking. I don't know if that means less or more heat or less or more time?

Re: Mug King Mug Press settings
i am using 285°F standby, 320°F temp and 60 secs. I noticed that when i put the mug in, it takes a little while to get up to the 320° and the timer starting. I tried putting in a blank cup first to help heat up the pad and it seemed to help a little bit but still had a few areas that came out sort of blurry.

I have a Senko that looks the same as that and it leaves a blurred image on one side I think the problem is the blanket so I don't use it,you could try a silicon sheet round the mug to even the pressure but raise the time and temp to counteract it.

Anyone else have any ideas for this? We are trying a CPM paper from Magic Touch (Hard surface laser heat transfer). I upped the idle temp a bit and reduced the heating time, that seemed to help slightly, but still getting some areas that look like they have been smudged?
Re: Mug King Mug Press settings
One more question. Anyone know where i can find a replacement heating element for our Mug Kind BJ850? I am suspecting that maybe part of my problem is the heating element may be starting to go out.
