Re: Epson WF2510 - doing my head in
On my previous thread I said I had got an epson wf2510 as a bundle with the PixMax 5 in 1 heat press. It came with sublimation inks. Long story short this is my second machine and it's still not printing. I've just received a CISS system and I've installed inks and primed the lines - still no ink coming through. Is there something I am doing wrong. Monster Doodle have advised that they have had a few problems with the Epson printer in the last couple of weeks (no good to me!!!!).

Re: Epson WF2510 - doing my head in
I used to sell a few WF2510 printers before switching to the WF2630. I found the WF2510 to be ok but I did have a couple that had power failures (nothing to do with sub printing was just a weird issue I think)
If Monsterdoodles are being to helpful give me a call on 01902 307111, I am happy to try and help I also have some software which will help you reprime your printer and should get you working.
I am here until 5pm today so give me a shout and I reckon I can have you up and printing again within 30 mins.

No help to you but welcome to the world of Epson Workforce.
I spent a year and many hundreds of pounds going through WF series printers and never had a day go by without 1 drama or another.
Stick to the XP versions, they seem much more reliable. My XP 322 has given good service without any real issues - occasional cartridge not recognised but that's all. My XP 900 seems to doin well over the 2 months I've hd it. I topped up the cartridges today and had 2 not recognised nad just reinserted and away the printer went without an issue.
Her indoors has said it looks like my hair has stopped falling out and going grey ever since I threw the WFs out.

Shame you have had so much trouble Customprintwales. I do rate the XP series we sell a lot of XP342 and XP245 entry level setups. But on the whole 70% of our sales are for WF series models - WF2630 WF7110 WF7610.Customprintwales;130744 wrote:No help to you but welcome to the world of Epson Workforce.

You do need to be careful what ink you run through them (we sell all ours with Inktec Sublinova) and also what method of ink feed you use (I tend to sell WF2630 with RIC and WF7110 / WF7610 with a chipless CISS) but they work brilliantly sold over 1000 mixed units.
I know you had a few WF7110, they can be a PITA with CISS which is why we developed the chipless modification to overcome the issues that we found with the PrecisionCore printing heads they use. A lot of the issues out there are down to the suppliers assuming a product works and not actualyl using it themselves.
As a company we take a new model and actually use it for 2-3 months before we decide whether to sell it or not. If it gives me grief I don't sell it. In my experience some (not all) traders will simply buy in a CISS from China and assume it will work flawlessly with a particular printer model, and in a lot of cases it doesn't.
